Welcome new team members!
This May we welcome two new team members to the staff at Oregon Environmental Council.
Audrey Butler
Membership Coordinator
Audrey Butler is our new Membership Coordinator. Audrey joins the fundraising & development team in this new position, where she will be working behind the scenes, making the membership magic happen!
Audrey has always called Oregon her home. She grew up in Eugene and has been living in Portland since 2012. She has dedicated her past six professional years to working with nonprofits within the sphere of education and youth development. Audrey also has a knack for good humor. On the weekends you can find her at Curious Comedy Theater, an all-ages nonprofit theater in Northeast Portland. More about Audrey.
Sabrina Cerquera
Environmental Health Intern
Welcome to Sabrina Cerquera our 2018 Emerging Leaders Internship (ELI) summer intern! Sabrina will be working on environmental health issues, focusing on a project to build awareness of diesel pollution in communities around the state.
Sabrina is a sophomore at Lewis and Clark, originally from Miami, and she is pursuing a degree in Environmental Studies and Political Science. She is passionate about environmental justice and wants to become an environmental leader in her community. She is currently part of the Environment 2042 Emerging Leaders Cohort, and is participating in equity trainings with the Center for Diversity & the Environment. More about Sabrina.
This is the third year, OEC has partnered with Emerging Leaders Internship Program (ELI), a program that provides college students with paid internships at top companies in Portland. ELI’s goal is to bring underrepresented groups — first generation students, low-income students, and students of color — into Portland businesses, which will prepare them to be future leaders. More about the ELI program.
Our history of effective results is a direct result of innovative, collaborative problem-solving performed by a group of talented and hardworking individuals. Meet the rest of our dedicated team at Oregon Environmental Council.
