Stacey Dalgaard is the Water Outreach Director for Oregon Environmental Council.

Stacey’s communications background includes advocating for healthy school food and sustainable agriculture, promoting tourism and recreation in Oregon, and building media relations for national food brands and beloved Oregon businesses.

She was previously the Communications Director for the National Farm to School Network, where she helped drive forward the Farm to School Act of 2015 in D.C., strengthened the organization’s content strategy and nearly doubled its online audience, and led the annual National Farm to School Month awareness campaign. Prior to that, she worked on successful media, influencer and consumer engagement campaigns for clients including Travel Oregon, Pacific Foods, Dave’s Killer Bread, McMenamins and more as an Account Supervisor at Portland firm Maxwell PR. A native Oregonian, Stacey graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor’s degree in public relations.

Following her passion for equitable food systems and healthy communities, Stacey also dedicates her time as a board member for nonprofit Schoolyard Farms. She enjoys backpacking, mountain biking, singing with friends, experimenting with fermentation, pulling weeds in her own backyard, and brunch.

I Work to Protect Oregon Because…

Raised in Oregon by a rock hound and a fisherman who dedicated their careers to public service, I spent vacations exploring magical places like Cape Perpetua, the Steens, Lithia Park and Hells Canyon. As more people discover this special place, creative, sustainability-minded solutions are going to propel our economy and our communities forward together.

Taking care of ourselves means taking care of our planet. That’s why I work to protect a state where all Oregonians can thrive, now and in the future.
