About Sarah

Originally from Colorado, Sarah (she/they) is an organizer at heart—someone who brings people together to deliver meaningful results. She began her career advocating for teachers, students, and strong public education systems, later serving as a legislative aide in the Colorado State Senate. In that role, she focused on public lands, just transition, water, and healthcare, with a commitment to bridging the urban–rural divide.

At the Sierra Club, Sarah led teams to organize and win campaigns across Colorado and supported power-building efforts for 36 chapters throughout the West. She helped shape strategy, build durable coalitions, and guide staff in advancing clean energy, reducing pollution, and protecting public lands. Sarah also led statewide LGBTQ campaigns at One Colorado, managing teams that secured expanded gender-affirming care, banned conversion therapy, and strengthened nondiscrimination protections.

Sarah studied Political Science and Ethnic Studies at the University of Colorado Denver.

Outside of work, Sarah enjoys attending concerts and sporting events, learning to play the drums, hiking, fishing, and sharing community with fellow movement activists.
