About Jessie
Jessie Kochaver is the Clean Grid Campaign Director for Oregon Environmental Council
Jessie (she/her) is passionate about building a clean, equitable energy future through collaboration, policy, and advocacy. She recently served as the Climate Policy Analyst in Representative Mark Gamba’s office in the Oregon State Legislature, where she focused on energy policy–particularly expanding and modernizing Oregon’s electrical transmission system. Her work brought together stakeholders from local communities, state agencies, elected officials and more to craft policies that are technically feasible, impactful and equitable.
As the new Clean Grid Campaign Director at Oregon Environmental Council, Jessie is excited to work across coalitions to advocate for an energy system that is greener, more affordable, equitable, and reliable for all Oregonians.
Originally from Boise Idaho, Jessie has called Oregon home since 2019. Outside of work, you can find her eating her way through Portland’s food scene, crafting, or exploring the Pacific Northwest by bike or foot.
