About Jacob

Jacob Kimiecik (he/him) is focused on water management and policy, particularly where strategies exist that can be applied to a broad range of scenarios.  Having spent time working with the Deschutes River Conservancy in Central Oregon, Jacob has worked in a variety of rural and urban environments and has helped implement projects that provide environmental, municipal, and irrigation benefits.  Jacob has also spent time developing partnerships with state and federal agencies, Tribal interests, irrigators, and conservation organizations to help identify creative solutions to complex water issues.

Jacob received Bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Natural Resource Economics from Colorado State University, as well as a J.D. from Lewis and Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon.

Currently based in Bend, Oregon, Jacob is originally from Virginia and has spent time living in Colorado and Portland.  In his free time, Jacob loves cooking, playing guitar, and bowling.  Jacob, his partner Meghan, and dog Spud also enjoy spending time exploring the many outdoor wonders of the Pacific Northwest.
