About DianaDiana Nunez is Interim Executive Director for Oregon Environmental Council
Diana is an equity driven, results-oriented leader known for integrity and commitment to quality and transparency with an educational background in Science and Research.
Diana has more than 15 years of experience working in public, private, and civic settings. With a focus on equity, diversity, and inclusion she has a track record that includes leading strategy, engagement, collaboration, organizational development, and lean processes. She has a career history of working closely with elected officials, corporate executives, educational, and strategic partners overseeing conceptualization and implementation of public programs and regional policies to introduce inclusive initiatives, promoting regional equity and innovative economic development.
Most recently Diana was the Executive Director of the Hispanic Metropolitan Chamber where she led a strategic planning process and implementation of the plan as well as the creating new regional partnerships with local and regional government, education and business partners to advance the Latinx community. Prior to the Hispanic Chamber, she was the Deputy Chief of Staff for the former Mayor of Portland, Charlie Hales and lead community engagement efforts and strategic initiatives for the City of Portland.
When not working, Diana enjoys spending time with her family -Partner, Deborah- kids Jude and Ava Aurelia, community advocacy, working out and renovating her English Tudor home in NE Portland.
