Ben Brint is the Senior Climate Program Director at Oregon Environmental Council

Ben Brint (he/him) has worked at the intersection of transportation electrification, building decarbonization, and grid modernization to advance climate solutions. As policy manager at SWTCH Energy and consultant at Vermont Energy Investment Corporation, he led advocacy and program implementation initiatives. Previously at Lyft, Ben managed Pacific Northwest business operations, supporting first-of-a-kind electric vehicle rental and ride hailing programs. Ben is excited to join OEC, motivated by its mission to support equitable, innovative solutions to Oregon’s climate and environmental challenges for current and future generations.

Ben holds a Bachelor’s degree and Master of Public Policy from UC Berkeley (making him a proud “double bear”). He’s a graduate of the Land Use Leadership Initiative through 1000 Friends of Oregon, Clean Energy Leadership Institute Fellowship, and CORO Fellowship in Public Affairs.

Originally from Southern California and having lived between Portland and the Bay Area, Ben now calls Portland home. Outside work, Ben loves playing futsal and surfing mediocrely, and is an avid soccer and basketball fan. He enjoys traveling domestically and internationally, though finds Oregon’s natural beauty uniquely special.
