E-Bikes

E-bikes are an effective way to get from place to place for school, work, or entertainment. For many individuals they are a comparable alternative to an e-vehicle.

Local Incentives

  • Ashland: Ashland Electric Utility offers a $300 rebate for standard e-bike or $600 for an e-cargo bike  per utility account. Program specifics and application requirements can be found on the City of Ashland website.
  • Eugene: Eugene Water and Energy Board (EWEB) customers are eligible for a $300 rebate on an e-bike. Up to two rebates can be received per account. View additional details on EWEB’s e-bike incentive page and apply here.
  • Forest Grove: As part of the city of Forest Grove’s Energy Efficiency and Conservation Programs you can get $200 off the cost of a new e-bike with a household maximum of $500. More information is on the Forest Grove Energy Efficiency and Conservation Programs homepage.
  • PortlandPortland Electric Ways to Work Program offers up to $500 off an e-bike and below-market interest loans for $5,500 for those who qualify. The program is powered by Metropolitan Family Services. Find out program details and apply here.

Electric Agriculture

Farmers, ranchers, foresters, and other land managers can switch to electric tractors, UTVs, and trucks. OEC worked with Pacific Power in 2024 to help provide four electric UTVs to OSU’s research farms in Central Point, Hood River, Pendleton, and Corvallis. Electric School Buses
