Help us pass the healthy schools act

The Healthy School Bus Bill (HB 2795) has passed out of the Senate Environment and Natural Resources committee! The vote was close, and we need your help to ensure this important bill passes on the Senate floor

The Healthy Kids Campaign is working to help pass key pieces of legislation during the 2009 session in Salem. Here's what we're working on to make Oregon a safer place for our kids:

Oregon Healthy Schools Act

The Healthy Schools Legislation aims to reduce pollutants at school to protect students and school employees. The bills come none too soon for the 73,000 children in Oregon who suffer from asthma. All children deserve healthy, clean places to learn and grow. Read more about the healthy schools legislation.

The HealthyToys.org Lead Check Widget
How to use the Widget: Type whatever information you are seeking in the box containing "Search for a Toy." You can search for products by name (such as Barbie, Dinosaur, or Spiderman), a brand name (such as Melissa & Doug, Lego or playmobil), a product UPC code (a number, like 98765432101), or the level of lead detection in a toy (HIGH, MEDIUM, LOW, or NONE). These searches can be combined, e.g. (barbie low or spiderman none). The names of any products that match your query will be displayed next to the overall level of detection of lead in the product. If the product name is too long to fit in the Widget, you can move your mouse over the product to find out the entire name.
