About the Forum for Business and the Environment
Engaging Oregon's business leaders in a dialo on emerging "triple bottom line" concepts through our Forum for Business & the Environment.
Since 1995, the Oregon Environmental Council has brought business and environmental leaders together to promote dialogue on some of Oregon’s most difficult environmental and economic challenges and to share positive, profitable strategies that address these issues.
Our 2008 forum series looks at ways Oregon businesses can help build sustainable, climate-friendly communities.
The 2007 forum series focused on the economic risks and opportunities associated with climate change.
Since its inception, the Forum for Business & the Environment has presented more than 95 events on a broad range of cutting-edge topics, reaching more than 5,500 Oregon business and community leaders, thanks to the generous support of more than 155 sponsors. Past speakers have included renowned architect William McDonough, internationally known businessman Paul Hawken, national health expert Dr. Theo Colborn, and local and regional business leaders.
